Empower and Transform Yourself from Within
Welcome to Yoga with Nav, yoga classes to help you unwind, find balance and stillness off of the mat as well as on the mat.
What is Yoga?
Yoga originates from the Indus Valley in India and the Sanskrit definition goes by ‘Yogas Chitta Vritti Nirodha’, which translates to Yoga is stilling the fluctuations of the mind.
The monkey mind dreams of the future as it waits for tomorrow, dwells in the past as it ponders regret. However, when we start to learn how to tame this monkey mind and bring it back to the present, that’s when we really start to live a life that feels fulfilling because now we’re no longer striving for more, we’re simply accepting life as it is, allowing life to happen through us, realising that truth and peace lie within.
Yoga provides tools to enable us to live from our Truest Self (Spirit) rather than constantly depending on the Ego (Mind). That’s not to say the mind doesn’t have a place in this world, it absolutely does. It’s a dance between the two, the Yin and the Yang, the Feminine and the Masculine, Spirit and Structure. When we learn how to tame the mind and make it work for us, the spirit is able to thrive.
Welcome to Yoga With Nav
Hi, my name is Nav (Navneet).
I am a certified Yoga Instructor, based in West London.
I have been practising yoga for over 15 years. I decided to start my teacher training in 2021 as I felt it was the right time to delve deeper into the practice and enhance my own knowledge in the field. Although my initial intention was for my own personal reasons, It felt right to start sharing the wisdom of yoga philosophy as well as the physical practice of yoga with others.
I enjoy teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha and Vinyasa style flows.
“Lovely yoga class from Nav! The class is a mix of both physical and meditative elements and I left feeling so calm and relaxed. Would definitely recommend!”
